Frequently asked questions

How does spaced repetition work?

DecoEcho uses an SM-2 style algorithm. When you say “Got it,” the card is pushed further into the future. When you say “Missed it,” it comes back soon. Over time, you study less but remember more.

Is my data backed up?

If you have iCloud enabled for DecoEcho (Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → DecoEcho), your cards, decks, and study progress sync to your iCloud and across your devices.

What’s included in DecoEcho Pro?

Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks:

Wikipedia autofill for card answers
Auto-translation across 8 languages
Text-to-speech pronunciation
Paste notes to automatically generate cards

Open a deck and tap the share button. DecoEcho creates a .decoechodeck file you can share via Messages, Mail, AirDrop, or any other method. The recipient opens it in DecoEcho and gets their own editable copy.

How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?

Sign in to the new device with the same Apple ID. Open DecoEcho, tap any Pro feature to bring up the paywall, and tap “Restore Purchases.”
